Madrid Gathering Promotes Dialogue and Diversity

Madrid gathered faith representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to mark cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence. The event, organised by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, placed emphasis on intercultural coexistence, religious freedom and respect. The dialogue included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers offered different experiences and viewpoints on how education can strengthen coexistence.

In the discussion, participants addressed themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European Diversity and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when supported by education and dialogue.
